Secondary Sawing

sandstone quarried in Cumbria
Secondary sawing is where the sawn slabs are cut into dimensional units called sawn six sided blocks, during this part of the process all the excess stone is trimmed away enabling us to check for any faults or fractures through the stone. Stone can be supplied straight from the saw at this point or it can be rubbed to remove any saw marks.
